Executive Coaching Programme

Programme objectives

Do you want to realise your potential as a leader?
If so, speak to us to find out more about how we can help.

  • Leadership and executive coaching deliver the same positive impact, enabling senior leaders to be more effective in their role.

Any coaching to help you improve as a leader is known broadly as leadership coaching.

However, if you arrange it through your organisation, it is known as executive coaching. In this case, it is also likely that a senior business or HR sponsor will also be involved in setting the objectives for the coaching, as they are the paying client.

  • We offer a coaching programme of six sessions (typically 90 minutes each), either face-to-face or via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, depending on your location and preference.

Key topics that are frequently covered in the programme are:

    • Increasing your self-awareness, including identifying your strengths

    • Understanding others and their different working styles

    • Increasing your confidence and overcoming imposter syndrome

    • Dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty

    • Adapting your own style for each situation

    • Increasing your presence in meetings

    • Clarifying what success looks like for you

    • Finding your inner resolve to succeed

  • We use a variety of different coaching techniques, drawing on the most appropriate for you.

However, the overall approach is ‘client-led’, which means that we use the real-life issues you are facing as the context for you to grow throughout the programme.

Please also book call with Mike Thorne to discuss this in more detail.

  • To get the best out of the programme, it is normal to have a few weeks between sessions to allow you to complete any follow-up and to reflect on your progress. However, at the early stages we recommend shorter intervals so you can start to make progress more quickly.

Overall, the programme will typically last 5 to 6 months.

  • You can arrange a coaching programme with us either privately or in conjunction with your business, perhaps as part of a personal development plan.

If it is arranged through a business, we will need to speak to the person who is making the arrangement, most likely someone from your HR team or your line manager.

  • Confidentiality between coach and ‘coachee’ is the bedrock of a successful coaching relationship, and is something that we protect vigorously.

When a coaching programme for an individual is sponsored by an employer, it involves a multi-way relationship including the line manager and sometimes a sponsoring HR manager. Therefore, we ensure that expectations and objectives are clear to everyone from the start.

There needs to be a clear understanding by everyone involved that the discussions between coach and ‘coachee’ are strictly confidential.

However, we do encourage coachees to share information and progress with their manager if they want to, as this can help accelerate progress.
